Dabo’s “All In Team” Foundation Funding
Fostering Great Ideas is honored to receive funding support from Dabo Swinney’s “All In Team” Foundation for our Sib-Link program.
Sib-Link is a private transport system that connects siblings in different foster placements. When the case management team believes more sibling contact is needed, Sib-Link orchestrates additional visits at regular, monthly intervals. Sibling bonds grow. Anxiety related to loss and isolation lowers. Child well-being increases, as the foundation for a life-long connection is laid.
The director of Upstate-based Fostering Great Ideas, David White, will be honored this October as a recipient of an Angels in Adoption Award in Washington, D.C. The award is given through the Congressional Coalition on Adoption Institute and “honors individuals, couples and organizations that have made extraordinary contributions on behalf of children in need of families.” Fostering Great Ideas supports children in foster care. “The majority of domestic adoptions for 2-year-olds and up are through relationships begun while in foster care. I take great pride in knowing the charity we started, Fostering Great Ideas, provides an environment for relationships to flourish,” said White.
