Celebrated in June each year, the American Bar Association recognizes “Reunification Heroes” in observance of National Reunification Month. These heroes demonstrate a compassion and perseverance to keep families together. Dena Garzone, Parent Advocate for our Moms Matter® support group, was one of 13 individuals recognized nationally for her work. Dena empowers moms who have lost their children to foster care to find their strength to make positive choices, and reunify their families.
“In order to successfully reunify, you need hope,” says Dena. At Moms Matter®, “the new moms meet with other women who struggled with
addiction, who struggled with the child welfare system, and who were able to come out on top and get their kids back.”
Our work is made possible by your generous donations. Help us reunify more moms and their children.
