Imagine if your possessions were stuffed into a trash bag. Unfortunately, this happens all too often when a child enters foster care. The simple act of providing luggage to a child can be a powerful symbol of care and respect.
We Care About You
Carry On® provides dignity for children leaving their home.
Children come into foster care through no fault of their own. Entering foster care is traumatic, as a child is removed from home and taken to an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar faces. Stuffing their belongings into a trash bag reinforces a message that these children are not valued.
A simple suitcase says “We care.” We provide new and gently used luggage so that children can “Carry On” to their next placement with dignity.
What We Accept
We accept donations of new and gently used carry-on luggage, back packs and large duffle bags.
*Please, no damaged, torn, or stained luggage.
