Children's Adoption Services

Children's Adoption Services aims to make loving, safe placements for children that have been in the foster care system for an extended period of time. We accept and welcome foster families of all backgrounds, cultures, and experiences.

Church of God Home for Children

South Carolina Church of God Home for Children serves Christian individuals and families of any denomination who want to foster and meet the basic requirements to do so in addition to signing a statement of faith and morality statement.

Connie Maxwell

Connie Maxwell Children's Ministries (CMCM) serves Christian families who want to foster. CMCM seeks to establish relationships with local churches where the foster parent attends to provide a framework for volunteer services that can support and encourage families during their foster care journey.

Department of Social Services

Heartfelt Calling manages intake for families who wish to foster with any agency. Department of Social Services (DSS) no longer licenses non-relative foster families (July 2020).

Epworth

Epworth serves married couples and singles who want to foster. The agency serves families from any faith background and training is not faith-based.

Miracle Hill

Miracle Hill serves Christian foster parents and requires families to complete a statement of faith. Staff support and training provided to families is based in the organization’s faith background.

Nightlight

Nightlight has been providing trusted services since 1959. The Healing Homes Foster Care Program serves married couples and single parents from all faith backgrounds who desire to foster or adopt a waiting child from foster care.

Oasis of Hope

Oasis of Hope is a Christian-based agency that serves all individuals and families who want to foster, meet the basic requirements to do so, and desire to make a difference in a child's life. The agency provides exceptional support to foster parents through every step.

Pinnacle Family Services

Providing innovative, evidence-based services to children and families since 1993, Pinnacle Family Services has expanded its North Carolina foster care program into South Carolina. Offering extensive training and support, Pinnacle is seeking Regular Foster Care parent applicants ages 25 and older to collectively make an impact on communities across South Carolina.

Thornwell

Thornwell’s foster care program offers standard (non-therapeutic) foster care licensing for those individuals and families who would like to foster children and youth ages 0-21. Our dedicated Family Specialists are passionate about licensing, preparing, and supporting families as they welcome children and youth into their homes. Our team uses Trust Based Relational Intervention (TBRI) model in coaching foster families to meet the complex needs of children who have experienced trauma.

Therapeutic Foster Care

Bair Foundation

Bair is a Christian foster care ministry, but does not require a statement of faith or church membership. Families come from all denominations.

Lutheran Services Carolinas

Lutheran Services Carolinas is affiliated with the Lutheran Church, but serves all families and does not require a statement of faith. Families do not need to be Christian to foster with Lutheran.

New Foundations

New Foundations serves all individuals and families who want to foster and meet the basic requirements to do so.

SAFY

SAFY serves all individuals and families who want to foster and meet the basic requirements to do so.

SC YAP

SCYAP works with all compassionate individuals and families who have a desire to serve children and can provide a loving and nurturing home. SCYAP licenses all homes as therapeutic but will place non-therapeutic children as part of a sibling group. Foster parents are the heart of healing for children in foster care and SCYAP offers an array of professional services to support foster families and children, including clinical services. SCYAP is a community that cares, advocates, and walks beside you every step of the way.
