Fostering is no doubt a rewarding yet challenging experience
Reunification is always the initial goal of foster care, and we celebrate this with the child and family. Still, as foster parents we also know that reunification means we must anticipate loss. We feel pain and grief when we say a hard goodbye.

In this training and discussion, alongside others on the fostering journey, we will reflect on our fostering experiences and learn more about common losses for foster parents and processing our grief in order to thrive as foster parents.

In this meaningful 1.5 hour experience, you will:
– Learn about loss and the process of grieving
– Reflect on how loss impacts your foster journey
– Identify emotions and learn from your discovery
– Discuss common experiences with peer group
